Christopher is a founding partner at Fortis Group. He co-founded the group to serve small business owners in the northwestern U.S. with business brokerage and advisory services.
Since moving to Montana in 1998, he launched and was the Principal of Worthington Homes, LLC, a construction company focused on the purchasing and complete renovation of century old properties. In addition, Christopher is a sailor who serves proudly in the United States Naval Reserves. As a Corpsman, he graduated from the United States Marine Corps Combat Medicine School.
When not serving clients, Christopher can be found with his wife, Molly, their three sons, and their daughter. They enjoy backpacking, hunting, fishing, Nordic skiing and running. Christopher sings for the Bozeman Symphonic Choir as well as sits on the governing board of D.R.E.A.M., a not-for-profit organization that focuses on Down syndrome research, education, and advocacy in Montana.
Bryce DeGroot is a seasoned business broker who helps business owners accomplish an optimal exit strategy.
In 2016, Bryce co-founded Fortis Group which provides business brokerage services to small businesses. Fortis Group is an affiliate of Compass Advisors, which is a middle market M&A firm founded in 1991.
Bryce earned an MBA from Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University and he holds a Real Estate license and CBI and M&AMI certifications. Bryce enjoys spending time with his wife and four sons, flying a Cessna, spending time in the mountains, and volunteering in the community.
Director of Operations & Marketing
Chelsey joined Fortis Group as the Director of Operations & Marketing in 2016. She graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Elementary Education. She has previously worked in the nonprofit and legal fields doing event management, development, and handling operational duties.
When not in the office, Chelsey enjoys spending time with her husband and their cat, friends, and family. She also enjoys watching and participating in sporting events, cooking, camping, and volunteering her time at various nonprofits around Bozeman.
